Shihan Russell Peacock 5th Dan

Russell has always been involved in sport and has continuously trained in Karate for over 25 years. He has succefully competed in Knockdown tournaments at regional, national and international levels.

His first Karate Club was in Tunbridgewells in the UK, which he took over from his old instructor Sempai Cliff England. In 1996 Russell opened a club in his home town of Sevenoaks. Members of the Town Council were impressed with the club and its students and after a short time Russell was invited by the Council to move the club to their new sports centre and help set up a general martial arts programme for the centre.   

In 2005 Russell and his family moved to Brisbane and the Sevenoaks club was taken over by Russell's good friend and fellow Karataka Tim Goullet.

Sempai Marcia Peacock

Marcia has also always been involved in sport. In addition to her karate she has competed in Dressage at national level, marathons and competed at athletic meetings,

With the occassional interruptions such as giving birth to 4 children, Marcia has trained in karate for 25 years. She has successfully competed in Knockown and won a Ladies Knockdown title at our National championships.

Marcia has a long history of working with children. She is a qualified riding instructor and althetics coach and most of her work in these areas has been with children.

When Russell opened the Sevenoaks club in the UK Marcia successfully took over the Junior classes and today some of those students are still training.

Marcia runs the Mount Crosby club, which focusses on juniors.
