Introduction
Karate Jutsu Kai is an internationally acclaimed style of Karate, affiliated to the IBK (International Kyokushin Budokai Kan).
The style continues to evolve and provides a firm basis for self-defence and fitness that's both physically and mentally challenging. Over time students develop a martial attitude and a clear understanding that the knowledge gained in their study and training can also be used for everyday life - not just sparring or self defence. As a result each student evolves with confidence and respect for themselves and others.
Of course not everyone will be thinking this when they arrive at a class for the first time and if you just want to get fit, flexible and focussed Karate Jutsu Kai ticks all the boxes. Over time though (and some hard training) your will come to realise that no matter how old or young you may be, how fit or flexible - there's always more to work on. Choose this attitude and Karate will choose you. This is called Karate-do (a way) and you can't learn it by reading it, you've got to experience it.
In addition to the adults clases we also run classes for children where teaching is carried out in a safe and controlled environment. Karate Jutsu teaches self control and provides a great outlet for all the excess energy that kids have. It draws out the best in children and can help give confidence to those who are shy. When taught properly Karate can aid anyone (adults and children) looking to improve in the following areas - concentration, confidence, breathing problems (including asthma), co-ordination, core strength, intestinal and digestve problems
Training in Brisbane is under Shihan Russell Peacock (5th Dan), who is under under the continued tuition and guidance of Kancho Bernard Creton, 9th Dan & Chief Instructor.
Beginners are most welcome, just turn up in shorts and tee shirt to start with. Be open minded, prepared to take on new challenges and you will reap the benefits.
